Privacy notice
This notice covers the newsletter and the signature wall on blog.alexmunozr.com. They are the only places on the site where you give me personal data.
Who is responsible
Alex Munoz runs this site and is responsible for your data. Contact: qcklexdev@gmail.com.
What is collected
When you subscribe, I store your email address and the time you signed up. Your IP address is processed briefly in memory for rate limiting and is not stored.
Why
To send you the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the signup form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where it is stored
Subscriber emails are stored in Upstash Redis, a database hosting provider. The site itself is hosted by Vercel.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.
Unsubscribing and deletion
There is no self-serve unsubscribe link yet. To unsubscribe or have your data deleted, email qcklexdev@gmail.com from the address you subscribed with and I will remove it.
Signature wall
When you sign the wall, I store the name you type, your drawn signature and the time you submitted it. No email address is collected.
Signatures are hidden until I approve them. Once approved, your name, signature and the date are shown publicly on that page. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
Signatures are stored in the same database as the newsletter (Upstash Redis). Ones I don't approve are deleted. To have yours removed, email qcklexdev@gmail.com with the name you signed with.
Your IP address is processed briefly in memory for rate limiting and is not stored.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data I hold about you and ask me to delete it. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
